It ships empty on purpose - you load the versions you love. Plug it into a computer, drop one MP3 into each of the nine folders, done. Takes about five minutes, once. Track nine is traditionally reserved for a voice note from grandma.

The decoration that comes back every year
In January the garland unclips, the records go back into their tray, and the box slides onto the shelf next to the baubles. Anytime, as often as you like. Plug the frame back into a computer, swap the file in any of the nine folders, and that record now plays the new song. Some families rotate them through December - carols early in the month, and the sillier stuff by Christmas Eve.

Kitchen volume. Loud enough to fill the room over dinner noise, never loud enough to rattle the neighbours - and you can nudge it up or down with the controls under the artwork. Think music box, not bluetooth speaker.

Yes - extra record sets are available on this page as an add-on. Since every record simply plays whatever sits in its folder, extra discs are how families give each kid their own, or build a second set for grandma's fridge.

The frame is about 4.3 by 5 inches - roughly a postcard - and each record is 2 inches across, close to a drinks coaster. Big enough to read across the kitchen, small enough that the fridge still looks like a fridge.
